Thats some wattle alright.
I wouldn't trust the euro distys for info on this stuff. They're salespeople, aka fucking liars. I'd only trust the word of the actual company employees. Chushin only built j/c's right? It's not like Fenders japan stuff isn't highly sought after, and profitable, they might be taking it over? Namms been over for a while guys, spill it!

too true. How many times has a salesperson told you "oh, we don't carry that line anymore - they weren't selling and the Jackson rep tells me their moving away from guitars and into pool cleaner production now. He wouldn't lie to me - we've been best friends for decades. I can sell you this sweet LTD though - they're the originals anyway. That Jackson you want is just a shitty ripoff"

Jeez, what an awful news to get back to! No more Japanese Jacksons or Charvels? I wish I had some money left to buy a couple more before it's totally over, but my last few purchases depleted all my disposable income!

Still no offical word from JCMI? I called a couple of dealers and was told that the Pro Mod series would be ending but that was all that they knew?

Jay-Pan Jackson's are really nice! I'm going over there and buying the factory and pumping out more, higher quality guitars.

I noticed the other day that the RR5 Pro is back on the Jackson website, hopefully they found a way to keep the MIJ line going.

If they've move production from Japan to Fender's mexico factory I wouldn't care. It might look and be assembled like a piece but it will play damn well.

The SL3MG soloist is back on their website as well. Thomann is relisting some of the MIJ Jackson guitars again, the RR5FR and RR5T.

I spoke with one of my favourite guitar shops in the UK about this and after they phoned the UK Fender distributor they (the Fender distributor) said that the Charvel Pro Mod was no longer available on their ordering system.

If the Pro Mods were reintroduced and made in the USA at a street price of 1200.00 would they sell? FMIC seems to be able to make Fender strats in the USA and sell them for $1200.00 it could happen.

I bought my first run USA 08 2H for $1050.00 when they came out.I normally don't buy new guitars.
I think if they priced them close to that they would sell.

I'm having to stop myself from running out and buying one right now. I'm hoping that they perhaps switch production of the Pro Mods to Mexico, I'd happily buy one then. I'm not too hot on buying a Chinese Charvel, I'd be more inclined to buy an Indian Jackson, but they don't make Pro Mods there

1st world problems, it's embarrassing.
