How old?

I have a chance to buy an old Jackson bass. It is a grey bolt-on -model. The serial number says 193*
Can you tell me how old it is? The guy who owns it says that he thinks that the bass has been made in the early 90's, but I think that it is older. Can you help me please?!

That plate # falls into the '87 - '89 Ontario period. They used up the remaining San Dimas neckplates (#1506 - #7303) over that range, but they didn't use them in order, so you may need to look for a date in the neck pocket and/or on the neck heel to try to pinpoint it.

i have 1991 and my bass was built march 87 from the jackson logs.this one has to be close to that
