  • 2012 Soloist SL2H Value

I have a 2012 Soloist SL2H in Transparent blue, can someone tell me what I could sell this for? Looking on eBay, prices seem all over the place, between 1000-2000. What am I realistically looking at for a quick sale?

USD$1000 is about right for a quick sale for a USA production model Jackson or Charvel. That also happens to be my own personal price threshold. Anything under that price, and if it's available where I live in Canada, I will pursue it.

Yeah, sad but true. I'd say anything over $1200 better have something special to offer such as one of the more expensive graphics like a snakeskin or Bengal.

Ouch, I had one a few years that I sold for around $1400. What happened?

There are just so many used guitars that sellers must let them go at a low price or never get rid of it. That's my theory.

          I paid $1400 for a 2008 SL2HT a few years ago.
... though Soloist/TOM bridges aren't nearly as easy to find as Floyd'd models.

I wouldn't hesitate to put $1400 on a trans finish SL2H in great shape. The colour may be just what someone is looking for, but I suspect a bit of luck will be needed for a quick sale.
One sure fire way to find out is to list it and let the bidding begin.

Your area may play a role as well. That guitar in a low populated market may do well since USA models may come along less often.
That's my situation. I live in the woods and see 1-3 used USA's within 500kms a year. Most people LOVE the opportunity to buy locally in order to play it before buying.

$1000... and even then it may sit. The market is flooded with those. There was 5 listed on eBay at once a few weeks ago. You can find USA custom shop soloists for $1500 if you look.
