  • NRD: KSR/Rhodes & PoweredByOmega

Finally got in my PoweredByOmega cab for my Rhodes/KSR Gemini. Haven't had much time to play with them together. The cab is really well built and is slightly oversized. It's also heavier than the Soldano 4x12s

All the settings available with the Gemini is going to take me awhile to figure out but it has tons of options.

That's a mean looking cab. What's the story behind those?

Nice. I've heard of the cabinets before, but not that amp company.

The cab is made in Detriot (http://www.poweredbyomega.com/) and are used by the guitarists like Mick Thomson, guys from Nails and bunch of other bands like that. I was curious and needed a new cab so I ordered one from this one about six months ago. It's a front loaded cab that is really well built and has some differences from normal cabs like how the speakers are laid out.

Rhodes Amplification is now KSR amps (http://www.rhodesamplification.com/) due to legal issues with the name. Kyle Rhodes is a really good guy that knows his amps and really great to talk to. I got the amp used and Kyle let me know that this amp is actually the first production Gemini built after Keith Merrow's prototype Gemini

Those KSR amps are awesome and Kyle is a great guy to deal with.

At first I came here to correct "Rhoads" but I was mistaken...
