Anyone here ever converted their Floyd to a Kahler bridge? I'm thinking of getting it done to my KV2 (because I've outgrown Floyd's and want a regular trem)

Very cool rework, but it's not quite representative: your guitar is a SD KV so the floyd wasn't recessed i.e. it had the correct neck angle for a kahler. The KV2 doesn't so Chug would need to recess the kahler, and I have no idea how viable that is..Popular is not the same as good

You're right, I just got told the same by my guitar tech :-( would anyone be interested in trading for a KV1? My KV2 has been owned since new, it's been very well looked after and it's been PLEK'd too so it plays like a dream. It has active Seymour Duncan Blackouts. But I'm not a Floyd Rose guy. The Floyd Rose is just something I "put up with". I'm sick of setting them up because it interferes with my creativity. I'll trade my KV2 and a Phil Demmel pro (the top of the line signature pro model, not the PDX version) for a KV1 with a Kahler bridge. I'm based in the UK so meet in person and do a switcheroo would be better (I don't think I could afford to ship two guitars overseas so close to Christmas)Comment
