  • Jackson AT1

This is my first post on this forum. I've been a Jackson fan since the 80's. I'd never heard of an AT1, I did some research that said they weren't too popular so they were dropped. It's perfect for me, I love Wilkenson trems, It's got a wonderful neck with a lovely think slice of Ebony. The PUPS are supposed to be Jackson JAV Vintage, I couldn't find them. The guy I traded said they are Handmade Kent Armstrong's. They sound very good. It's a beautifully made guitar. I'm really pleased. Anyone with any info, I'd love to hear it. Thanks

They only appeared in the '96 and '97 catalogues and are listed as having Armstrong JVA-1 humbuckers.
Apparently, the body and neck specs were changed on the '97 models from what the '96's had...according to the '97 catalogue.

        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Here She is, I love this guitar, the neck is amazing, straight, no dead stops. These things go for around $600.00, I'm going to buy all I can find. [IMG][/IMG]

$600 is a crazy good deal for any USA model.

I would totally snag one of those for $600.

It's funny, 20 years later, it could be in Jackson's new catalog, 3x3 pointy headstock, no fret markers. At first I thought I'd swap out the chrome plastics rings, but I'm starting to like them. I'm in love with this guitar, it needs the fret ends sanded as the fingerboard has shrunk a little. I want one of the stop tail ones as well.
