    Tc Electronics Spark

    Hello all,
    I'm sure I'm really late to the party but I just discovered this gem and wanted to say a few words about it.
    I'm usually a GT100 Boss user Multi effect Processor but I'm mental and go back to pedals from time to time. I hate controlling them but there is no question stand alone pedals sound much better and more organic.

    The Spark is a boost pedal with some Overdrive qualities that are IMO the very best natural amp like I've ever heard. This pedal will not change your natural tone at all unless you dial it in to do so.
    it has crazy boosting abilities as it can really be used as a super boost, Solo's on this thing will cut out of the mix like crazy.
    I also have a Ibanez Tube Screamer and the Spark makes that pedal sound like a trash can. Together the Spark enhances how the Tube screamer sounds and sounds 100% better then stand alone.
    Bottom line this is a gem, for $99.99 it's a total steal. Everyone on the planet earth should have one. Even if your not a guitar player, you should have one to inspire you to become a guitar play, I feel it's that good.

    Thanks Mantis! I've been thinking getting one since I recently got a Dark Matter (awesome "Marshall in a box pedal" for really cheap). I also acquired a few months back a TC Helix phaser and a Mini Ditto looper. All have been pretty awesome!

      I have one. It's a great Od/boost pedal. Not the right choice for adding distortion to a pristine clean, but for pushing a front end or adding gain, it's perfect. It's a great tone shaping tool.

      One caveat, if you run it with a power adapter, make sure to wrap the battery conector in some kind of insulation as it can short out to the case. (This can happen with most metal bodied pedals, and isn't really a design issue.)

          Absolutely agree. It is not a Distortion pedal but a beautiful Amp like Overdrive. Pushing the front end of a high gain channel it really rips. I'm so impressed with it.

            TC Pedals were always GREAT. I'll never by another TC Electronics rack unit again or Rocktron. I have an old blue Rocktron 1 knob Hush, it does the job awesomely. Don't really like anything they ever put out tho. At best they do the job.

              Yes it does. I try to use my Boss SD-1 or DS-1 as a Lead boost if anything. But it certainly does tighten things up. Especially with any tube amp at loud levels. But I find that it does compress the lows and highs and overall dynmaics of the amp's tone itself. But that's not really a bad thing at all..it cuts thru the mix with better sustain IMO.
