  • So..I fired up an old gun....2120 VGS...

So, a thread about nothing really important...but I thought it was kind of cool going through MIDI settings and tubes...and all that seemed cool some 16 years ago.
I don't have a tone of amps, just have one that fulfills its purpose...so I always depended on some FX unit to color and alter the sound...nothing to complex.
I bought this Digitech 2120 some 14 years ago...and it has been collecting dust for the past 5 o 6. I've thought about selling it hundreds of times, never really taking the time to do it.

So today I thought about testing it, for the sake of knowing that it works so that I can offer it online...

After all the setup, MIDI parameters, etc...it started sounding as good as I remember it did, what a nice rack unit...I got it to work via MIDI with its PC interface, which looks so archaic, compared to Line6 Pod Edit it feels like Netscape vs Chrome...but it gets the job done nicely. And the clean tube patches sound great.

So, TBT, flashback, or whatever...it felt nice to have this purple Commodore streching its legs...Sure thing all the new tech walks around this $1000-when-new FX unit thousands of times, but it still works...and still sounds good...

Do you guys keep old sh*t around???
