  • SL1 Blue Ghost Flames (NGD)

A Soloist remains my favorite guitar and model, period. After my recent purchase of a Charvel San Dimas reissue, I got interested in Jackson again. The prices of new USA models are insane in Europe (although I could afford it, I cannot justify it as I'm a hack on guitar). So I jumped on an used SL1 from around 2003/2004 (best guess, serial nr. starts withh U14xxx). Lovely guitar, really. This one has been on the road and that does show with three chips in the paint on the back. The frets are fresh though. Nice paint job too. The neck has some sort of satin finish. Now, I don't know if some luthier did that or it was done by the factory. My guess is a luthier, but who cares as I love playing it.

    Here are some crappy pics.

Very nice! Congrats. Enjoy it. You could always buff out the satin back to high gloss if you really wanted to.

Thanks! I'm gonna leave the neck as is, it plays really smooth this way.

Give her a nice bath, lemon oil massage (or whatever oil you may prefer), and play the hell out of it...

Thanks for the info. It's U149xx so production date was probably december 2004 or early 2005.
