Are you having tuning problems?
I have tried a few of the systems and dumped them all right away. I can stand the "knock" you get when releasing the bar. I like the float and I guess once you get used to that it's hard to change.
If I was going to disable a FR I would cut 2 blocks of wood to the right size and block it in the cavity.
