You might be able to edit what you've already done - either that, or just add it as a reply here..

you can just edit the posts you made above, if you use photobucket just paste the "IMG" link into the body, don't use the tags in the editor on this site because what you paste in already has the open and closed tags.

Does that say "Made in the USA" on the front of the headstock? Looks like a Kelly Star maybe it's a Jackson STARS series. Someone here will know... get closer shot of the head stock front and back. I've learned not to trust those plates on the back of the bolt on necks because those all say made in the USA on em even on imports.

              * Edit* removed Kelly Star Spec.

                Erm.... Kellystar?!!

It's a Jackson Star. As in Star Body. Al-la EVH, Chris Holmes, Rob Cavestany etc. It's way too late for me to go over the details / legitimacy, but from a passing observation it looks good to me...

I knew it was one of the 2 , cut me some slack, I don't study every make and model ever made. I was *editing that post as you posted Neilli* so far what I've found only has 1 humbucker or a humbucker and a single coil at the neck but nothing with H-H in that body style.

No import plates have ever said Made In USA on them, ever. The Japanese Charvel Model series have a Ft. Worth, TX plate, but that's just because that's where their headquarters were at the time, but the plates do not say MADE IN anywhere.

You know I never put much thought or research into that and I just assumed it was like a stamping plant for those plates. Thanks for the heads up Toe

And as far as I know, the JacksonStars series did not have a Star body.

I'll post some more pics this weekend. as far as if it's for sale...well I'm on the fence. I love this guitar but I never play it anymore and I really have no idea what it's worth these days. So i guess I'm hoping to gather enough information to push me to one side or the other. So in the meantime I'll just enjoy everyone's comments.
