  • NGD: Archtop soloist SLATQ...amazing

Arrived safe and sound today. I gave up a gun to get this one but I could walk down to any gun shop this afternoon and replace that. Can't really do that with an archtop.
Gorgeous trans blue color with carved quilt maple top, gold hardware, mahogany body and raw mahogany neck. Pair of P-90 soap bars direct mounted. Ebony fret board with abalone piranha inlays and logo.
    I love it!
    Pics or it didn't happen.

It fits in nicely with my other soloists.

    Wow, that's a stunner.

Drop dead gorgeous. Congrats. I'm sure it's got a cool, unique tone, too.

Very nice! Always loved those. They also made some with minibuckers instead of P90s.

              Beautiful top, nice score!
Every time I am almost over gassing for a SLATQH, someone posts one.
No honey, I have always had this Jackson....

Thanks guys. I think the natural on the right is going to be refinished in a trans purple. It has a unique wide/loose quilt that would be better accented with some color. What do you think?

It finally stopped raining today and the sun came out so I was able to get a few pictures in natural light rather that the florescent in my shop. This thing is so flippin' beautiful.
Sorry about picture overload but damn I am stoked.

Beautiful! I actually don't think i ever really got to try a soap bar too much. I used to have a gibson P94 pickup (which is supposed to be a P90 but in the shape of a humbucker) in one of my guitars. The thing was really hot and round sounding. I totally miss it. Can you tell me, are those soapbar pickups hot/round? Is the nature of them to hum like a single coil though?

I'd leave it natural maple; looks great as is! That's all up to you, though.
