I own both and prefer the VHT 50/CL w EQ+Reverb over the QR. I like the QR too but it is an older version with shared EQ. VHT/Fryette's aren't for everyone, if you try to hide player slop in technique with gobs of gain its not your amp. Pretty dry and clear even with a lot of gain and volume, why I love it.

Shawn nailed it with the pit bull. Just a fantastic amp but it is very precise. It will never become a muddy mess and the attack on it is great. The gain articulates so well.I keep the bible in a pool of blood
