  • My NEW Custom Shop RR1!!! Flouresent Pink!!

Some that are on the JCF Facebook Board have seen this but for those who havent....I ordered this long before the 4 month Custom Select option came around...and they originally told me 18 Months, but it turned into much longer than that.
My idea was to order the exact RR1 that I always dreamed about, I play in an 80's Glam cover band, and wanted a Flouresent Pink, but much more brighter than the pink V's I have seen.....My idea was to match the 9-42 Ernie Ball strings package...
I kept getting updates that it was very hard to recreate that shade of Neon Pink, so it would be delayed for another 90 days, and then another 120 days, and then another 45 days...and then they had another problem with the binding, so that delayed it another 120...
It came yesterday!!! I opened the case and it was SO bright and exactly what I had hoped for and even BETTER than I hoped, it doesn't even matter because I'm in LOVE!!!
Aside from the Custom color, the only thing I wanted was one Volume and one tone, My previous RR1 had a seperate volume for each pickup and One tone. the pickups I wanted rather than the Duncan JB and 59 , I had them put Dimarzio Super Distortion in the Bridge and in the neck , Dimarzio "Humbucker From Hell". Matching headstock with the Mother of pearl logo, It's perfect!!! If I could do it all over again I may have had the Abalone Logo, but thats small because i still think it's PERFECT!!

Absolutely sick! I had a pink Rhoads copy back in the late 80's...looked just like that! Let me know what you think of the super distortion pickup in that guitar...I had one in my strat and never really bonded with it.

I probably would have rear loaded it but I dig the vibe. Very nice, congrats and enjoy!

Same here! Abalone wouldn't look as good on this as the MOP does.

when I was reading and saw the part about pink I thought "this guy is nuts for wanting a pink guitar" LOLOLZZ!!

then I saw it. that thing is beautiful man. epic win!!!!

(im going to also say, they matched the super slinky package just about as close as humanly possible too.
super slinkys are my strings and im holding an empty package up to the moniter and its right on the money)

Yeah....in almost all of my guitars, I have used the Super Distortion , it's been pretty much the pickup I have used for the past 25 years, i have just gotten used to it, and guitars don't sound right without it LOL. Thank you for the great compliments I cannot put it down
