  • Soloist arch top find

1988 USA Jackson soloist arch top JA 0040.
A friend called and said if I wanted it come and get it.
He has been helping a lady that owns a pawn shop sort out and price guitars that she has stacked up in the back room.
He called me knowing I am a Jackson guy and I jumped on it.
Its been sitting in the case for years and needs some work.
I always wanted one of these but never found one at a price I was willing to pay.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

    Tease!
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

I would have JUMPED on that too....congrats!!! What's your take on it so far....I've had a few of these in the past and they were all great guitars.
Kahler...Killing guitar values DEAD since 1981.

You think like I do and the guy that called me is going to let me know if there are any.
I told him MIJ Strats Tele's,USA and MIJ Charvel and Jacksons.
I'm hoping to score big and pass some savings to fellow JCFers.
I'll ship as is and you can take on the projects on your own.
Thanks jacksonaxes I have a nice JT-6 so thats whats going on it.

Seems I can't download pics so here are some PB pics.
She is rough but a guitar like this needs to be brought back with a refin IMO.
                Headstock binding needs fixed too.

Nice project, that headstock looks huge

dig the checker board behind it as well.
I'm going to give you the keys to the Lamborghini

                        Thanks TJ.
The 18 volt wiring looks original which has me stumped I have never seen one with a mid boost wired with it.
Not really wanting to alter it in any way if I go for a total restoration.
The battery clamps on the cover are mounted the same way so it looks original to me.
                        Really? well screw Mark Twain.
