  • Advice on my PC1

I'm a newbie to the forum. Love the JC guitars, big enthusiasts... I am thinking about selling one of PC1s. Honestly, I need some advice. (Secretly, I hope someone talks me out of selling...) I really don't know what a fair price to ask is. It is HEAVILY used but has tons of life left. It's a 2006 with beautiful quilt in RedRum. You don’ t see these everyday. This guitar is heavily gigged and is not a case queen. It’s in “player’s condition” with tons of cool Rock n’ Roll vibe! Lots of little nicks, scratches, scars, etc – the worst of which is on the back edge of the tummy cut. Gold hardware is showing 8 years of wear. Bridge pickup has been traded for a Tone Zone – huge sonic improvement (to my ear). Sustainer works great and is lots of fun – especially live. Wonderful flamed neck with lots of fret life left. Very, very comfy to play. Just had new Floyd posts installed so the knife edge works very well. This guitar is set-up to my gigging taste – ½ down (in Eb) with 9 ½ guage strings. So if a new buyer wants it set up another way, they’ll have to take care of that. Occasionally, I’ll get a scratch in the volume pot but it never bothered me. This guitar is a gigging machine and has been very faithful to me. It’s been played and played hard and is still a very durable, very dependable, great sounding, well-crafted guitar. Afterall, It’s made to be an instrument of tonal expression. So I USED it! Non-original HSC included along with 3 packs of strings. Wow, after writing that I'm not sure I want to let it go... I'm not really sure HOW MUCH to ask for it. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I'm not interested, but if wanted to find out, put it up on ebay starting at .99 with a really high reserve and see how high the bidding goes.

Looks like you already have it listed at $1,375 on the JCFOnline Classifieds Facebook page.
Fair price for a player condition PC1.

FYI... it's not a Custom Shop.

Thanks for the info... I wasn't sure about the "custom shop" designation. When i started thinking about selling the guitar, I called fender and inquired about some the finer details about the instrument and the the CSR on the phone told me that the PC1 was assembled in the custom shop - so that's where that came from. But I don't want any confusion about it so I removed "Custom Shop" from my listing. Thanks again for the information.
