  • Charvel reissue catalogue?

So, I was tyre kicking a 2005 pointy head reissue on gumtree recently and it got me curious...so having done the usual thread search on here for info I also went looking for catalogue scans at audiozone etc. without success. Was there a catalogue/brochure for these in 04/05? I'd love to get a bit more info.
Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.

Honestly I don't think there was a catalog for these. I just remember them starting to show up in stores.

There was a one page flyer. My local Jackson rep gave some of them out to the dealers that were going to stock the reissues. It basically showed the models, some close ups of the V-trem, and little squares for the available colors. I used to have one, but I am pretty sure it has been lost to time....
      GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

      and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I found a price list a while ago which I may still have. I'm at work though so I can't check until I get home.

Well I've stopped tyre kicking and bought it so it would be good to see a scan of the flyer and price list just for the weird bit of me that wants to know everything about the guitars I have. :dunno:

They were definately nice guitars. They were more like custom runs so every single one could be different - there were vintage Trems and Floyds, 1 hum, 2 hum, HSS, maple ebony and rosewood and several colors - black white blue red and some snakeskins and ghost flames

Only issues that were reported were headstock finish pulling off from the bottom of the head by the logo

Yes thats what I gather from the thread searches and google searches I did. Hopefully the one I've got doesn't have the headstock issue (seller says not and photo appears to be fine) but It'll hardly be the end of the world.
I presume these were built by Jackson USA?
Anyway looking forward to getting it next week. I'll get a couple of photos up (never did that here before). Though it's a bit of a plain jane. I doubt if it will get anyone's GAS stirred up.

I've bought three of those reissues over the years and changed them from plain Janes into Crazy Daisies.

Those look fantasic Matt. I had thought of a repaint myself but I have yet to find someone in Ireland or the UK who does graphic finishes that would come close the the likes of Mike Learn or Dan Lawrence.
There are some great air brush guys in the UK but I haven't seen any that would have the experience on guitar finishes.

Please excuse my ignorance but why not send it to Mike? He does business with folks overseas all the time.

Rich, that's magic! Just what I was looking for. Much appreciated.
Matt, I didn't know that. I remember looking at the website a few years ago and (I thought) it said that they didn't do guitars that required international shipping. Though having looked at the website today I don't see that anywhere and I see a guitar done for customer in Turkey . I would expect that the cost would be waaay out of my league...but once I get my hands on this guitar and if it's half as good as I hope it will be I'd love to get some paintwork done. Your guitars really look fantastic.
