  • PC-1 Replacement Neck?

I searched for this question already asked; if I missed it, please redirect me.

I need a replacement neck for my PC-1! I can tell the story about me leaning it against the couch for " just a second ", or my daughter chasing the dog, or how I had to assess which was the greater love, child, pet, or guitar. Bottom line is I need a new neck. I don't want to repair break under the locking nut or clue the headstock together above the tuners. I can have one "custom made" for about $600, but for that price I'd rather it be official Jackson. Are there any other options?

    Thanks

Look for a used Floyded PC-3.

That's a difficult one. Maybe watch ebay for a PC1 with a decent neck, but trashed body. You might be waiting a long time, though. Otherwise, 24 fret strathead necks are fairly rare in the aftermarket.

Musikraft can build you a 24 fret Strat head neck. Just use Charvel neck build option http://musikraft.com/product-info.php?pid436.html

Use the drop down menus to select your preferences and make sure you select 2 1/4" neck heel.

PC1 would be a 2 piece neck. Separate fretboard (flamed maple) from neck (quartersawn maple)

            Good luck.
PC-1 necks are rare and expensive when they do pop up.
Got any pics of the damage?
A clean break can be structurally repaired to be as good as new.

I just repaired a Charvel neck that had the headstock snapped clean off at the lock nut. Other than the cosmetics, it's as strong as it was the day they made it.
