  • Help identify my Jackson/Charvel

Can't find any identical guitars online, so I posted it here to see if anyone could help me.

Suspected to be made in the 90's

    Wrong section.

    It's a model 4 neck on a later body.
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

It's got 24 frets, and has the old-style Model series logo, so it has to be a Japan-market-only guitar. I'm betting it's something from the Super Dinky line. They were short-scale (24 3/4") models that were kind of the equivalent of the Fusion, but they came in more configurations.

Found it, I think. SDK-100-SH from around '90 - '91. It has the JE-1000 gain boost, and everything else looks about right:

If you decided to put better pickups in it and remove that Je1000 setup let me know, I am looking for one of those

Does it hold any sort of value? (Not looking to sell it, but interested on value)

Somewhere around $400, give or take. On US eBay, it might get some extra interest and maybe go a bit higher, since you don't see many SDKs over here. The Charvel imports from '86 to the early '90s are great playing guitars, but they don't tend to go for big bucks. The prices have crept up a little in the last few years, but they're still mostly thought of as great value/low cost guitars.
