  • 1985 Jackson Dinky San Dimas - Legit?

Looking at buying a Jackson off of Craigslist. Supposedly it is a 1985 Jackson Dinky San Dimas. Serial number on the neck is 2239 and the serial number on the body/neck plate is 2047. Thoughts?

    Thanks!

I can't post picks here for some reason.

The headstock is reversed and the Jackson decal is red.

      2239 would be 1987-1989.

The last "San Dimas" Jackson was serial number 1505.
1506 through 7303 were made Ontario, California, but still had the San Dimas address on the neck plate.

As for the guitar, how much are they asking?

Thanks for the help! That's what I was thinking–looked up and found the serial numbers were not San Dimas.

        They are asking $800.

$800 is not bad... little high, but hard to say if it's a good deal or not without pics.

Hmm, It wouldn't let me post the link either.

It is posted on Atlanta Craigslist, only result for San Dimas on Atlanta, GA Craigslist

Yep... looked a that one. Lefty neck on a right handed guitar with a Floyd using JT-6 posts.
Best guess is it's a parts guitar. Hard to say for sure without seeing the back and the neck pocket.

                          Probably.
I've also seen a lot of mutts on flee bay lately that people are trying to pass off as originals.
