  • Cheap Jackson WR1, A fake?

Hi. I live in Mexico, i want to buy a Jackson WR1. the guitar is only $ 800 (eight hundred dollars) i know it is a bargain, but i´m affraid of it, because it coud be a fake, my question is are there chinese copies of jackson guitars? You may think the Jackson has been stolen but I´m sure the seller is not an unknow guy, he can show me all his ID s, i can verify who is he.

    I need your advise.

It looks good from what I see, look on the last fret for the serial #. check the floyd and see If it's a real one, a fake would probably have a cheap one. keep us posted.

Shouldn't the neck be painted on a WR1?

Post a pic of the serial Number on the last fret.
Some necks were painted on the back and some weren't.

Here the photos. it´s the same guitar, it looks dirty because the photos were before the seller bought the WR1.

A Jxxxxx? Wasn't expecting that. U12xxx would seem more appropriate, no?
                96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

I guess it is a "U" but part of the letter is under low E string. U127xxx=2003 (?)

Why does it have cheaper Jin-Ho -tuners instead of japanese Gotohs?

Judging from those pics it looks real (to me). I would grab it quickly, before someone else buys it!

Back covers look plastic to me.

Lower front horn bevel looks like it's too deep.

Top front horn looks too long.

Granted, I'm comparing the pics to my WRMGs, so there's that.

I see no cause for concern. It looks all factory stock, as well.
