  • NGD: SL2H Dragon Graphic

I have been searching for a SL2H in the Bengal finish so I have been checking the forum and ebay several times a day in hopes to find one. One day while searching, I came across this silver/ black dragon SL2H on ebay. I already have a SL1 in the same finish but prefer the SL2H configuration so I thought I would take a stab at the auction…well I won it! The build year is 2010 and the neck is somewhere between my thickest and thinnest neck profile on my Soloists. Along the line someone has installed Seymour Duncan Livewire Heavy Metal pickups (this is the model the previous owner said they are). I have not been one for high output pickups but they do not sound bad but I do have to drop the gain down by two notches on my JVM.
Anyway, just thought I would share and put in a shameless plug for possibly needing to sell the SL1 to finance the Bengal I was originally searching for.

No honey, I have always had this Jackson....

Nice! That graphic looks cool on a SL2. I have the KV2 version.

I too have it on a KV2. I also have a set of Duncan Hot Live Wires in my Strat Elite which I put in around 1986! They've been in there ever since, very hot pickups! Congrats on your silver/black dragon SL2H.

Congrats! I've always liked that graphic, especially on a soloist.

Really liking the SD Livewire Metal pickups. Looks like the Blackouts AHB-2 is the same on the Seymour Duncan tone chart. I will use this guitar playing out this weekend and see how the pickups do at stage volume and in the mix.
The graphic goes very well on the KV2!
