Kaler very uncomfortable to play, 22 frets is not enough for me, but I still I love this guitar.

Headstock has a small detachment of lacquer on the lower edge, is this normal for headstock with nonpearl logo?

Not sure about the pickup. I have an 85 Explorer Scorpions, and it also has a Kahler. Floyd's were hard to come by then as Kramer made a deal with them and there wasn't many extras. I don't mind the feel of it but the rollers kill sustain in dive bombs. My Explorer has lacquer and it also has some checking in the paint.
