  • Stone Tone Guitars...

These patented blocks are made of granite, and are designed to enhance and strengthen the sound of your tremolo-equipped instrument across the entire audio spectrum. After installing a Stone Tone® block, the guitar's clarity, sustain, and overall tone will be improved equally in all ranges of the fret board... the extraordinary results of this upgrade are indisputable.

Granite, when quarried in its natural state, is not only of an ideal density for the purpose of sustain, but also has a crystalline atomic structure which is ideal for sonic transference -- it requires no factory processing or dilution, and the natural change in sound, upon installation, is so drastic that signal loss from the guitar to the amplifier will be decreased by at least 30%.

I've seen brass blocks, even titanium ones, but never a granite one until now.

Got into a bit of an argument on FB with a rep from floydrose.com/Stone Tone when I said it sorta sounded like snake oil and I'd need to hear this difference, first hand, and (jokingly) please send me one to try out and A/B against my brass big block and traditional brass blocked axes. He then paraded out a host of endorsers who swear by them and produced youtube vids of the block in action as well as scientifically conducted analysis of the signal quality and spectrum.

Meh. Still not convinced. I am open to the possibility of it actually doing what it says it does but until I hear/see it first hand, I will remain skeptical.

It's like telling a girl that one brand of fingernail polish is going to make her look more pretty than the one she already uses.

If she believes it, then it obviously works.

Meh, I'll go as far as brass blocks, but when you start getting into depleted uranium and all that junk...I tune out. Sure, if it was all free I'd try it all, but...meh.

It's granite, not depleted uranium, and the concept of how it works isn't very different than other blocks.

If you can't figure that out you probably don't need to install one of these.

So that tells me you can't figure out another way to ground a bridge? Really?
