  • Getting closer....

Got an email from Kurt Walton at Jackson Custom Shop. And while the question he had regarded an "issue" with the inlay on my Star, I'm still looking at this as glass half full. This means that they are pretty far along in the build. It's certainly past the "look at the spec sheet and select the billet" phase anyway...

I can't wait to see that thing bro! If it's anything like the pic you had up here it's going to be so killer!!
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Kurt is a good dude and is trying to better things over their. I had lunch with him last year and he was very helpful getting my 2 done (done in 18 months BTW)

I have no doubt that Kurt's good peeps. Just a tad discombobulated from the mixture of excitement at the prospect of delivery and the potential for let down due to an "issue" with the inlay. My guess is: it's the 12th fret FWAM inlay that's giving them fits.

Rather unique guitar you put together there, is it going to be neck-through or bolt on? What does FWAM stand for if I may ask?
I like black and white guitars

Neck thru. FWAM is actually just a nonsensical comic book sound effect, much along the lines of the campy Batman TV show's POW and ZOWIE! I was (and prolly still am) a huge comic book lover. This is my tribute, if you will, to that genre.
