  • NGD! 87 Pencil sketch dinky strat

I bought this guitar in february from Germany. It was my dream to have an early made in usa jackson with reverse head, and after many years I could buy this. She is in very good shape even the headstock is nice. The pictures don’t show how beautiful is this in person.
She has a bit different graphic than the 87’s catalog guitar by D.L and other pencil sketch dinkys. Has a very detailed background and I love the more human like gargoyles with the moon.

I changed the pickup to Tb-4, because I don’t liked the original j90 c ceramic pickup. The guitar now souds exactly I wanted. I am thinking to try a J90, but I don’t have one.

The tremolo arm was not the original so I bought a full jt-6 with arm from ebay two weeks ago. No cluck with this now.
This pictures are from the original Ad, I will take some new photo tomorrow.

            Really nice guitar.

There's an almost identical one on the bay right now - not mine; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Jack...item338f1165a2

[Edit] Yours looks better with the moon/sun behind the gargoyle; nice score! [/Edit]

Yeah I thought it was a match too until I noticed a few subtle differences.

C-man had one too, was it one of these??

                Here's the one Cman had;

Similar to the one on the bay, but non reverse hs. [edit] and no sharkies[/edit]

Thank you guys! I forgot to mention, that the non recessed floyd is one of the the best thing about this guitar. Very comfortable for me.
Does somebody know, that can I add a Jackson pickup cover to a SD SH-4? The Tb-4 is too big...

I have a picture about the stamp of this guitar. Graphic name: winged animal pencil ?

This guitar doesn't have the original neck, Cman added that. These all came with reverse headstock. Not all with ebony and sharkies, and Jackson made a couple with strat body. Here is an example (very bad picture sorry).

I have work order 2654, due on 12/14/87. Our guitars probably spent time hanging out together.

This stamp belongs to the guitar of coloradoman, not mine. Serial: 4510. The neck pocket has 1-21-88 date.

Mine is above: Wo:1782, dated 10/26/87 . Not a big difference in time otherwise.

                              Animated? Animation?
                              96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.
