  • USA Serial Number Lookup

Has anyone had any luck getting a USA serial number looked up since FMIC bought Jackson ?

Back in the good 'ol days Tim Wilson would always respond to emails and give you info directly from the logs. After waiting a week, I just got a "we don't have any logs" response from FMIC. They claim they never got any logs when they acquired Jackson/Charvel. I suspect this is BS. I'm trying to look up a J10xx number that is, of course, on the next page after the pages listed up on audiozone.dk.

I've been waiting since October 2009.

I found an email on facebook that was offered to someone looking for a date on a 2004 USA Select. The guy got a reply in 10 minutes even though he was told it may take a few days.

I can't think of any harm in posting it here, so... [email protected]

Since your number is pre-Fender it may result in another 'no logs' reply, but no harm in trying. Good luck.
      96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

The old logs are in filing cabinets and management apparently don't see value in digitising/indexing them in a way that is useful for the 21st century. Seems strange that FMIC will constantly push retro-spec guitars, but has no interest in the actual useful application of the historical info on Jackson. Whereas you can email Gibson with a serial number and they'll get back to you with full info within a day or so..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Used to be pics and a chalk board with the serial and W/O number.
