  • 7 String neck specs

So... if you were spec'ing a 7 string guitar, would you select:
    - medium or jumbo frets?
    - 25.5" scale or baritone scale?

I'd go jumbo frets SS and 25.5" scale. The baritone scale is nice but is harder for reaches. However this is all preference.

Yes, it's all preferece. I'd also go with stainless steel frets. Jumbo are fine, but I usually prefer medium. I also like the 25.5" scale.

Why add the 7th string if you're going to have lower note access on the original 6.

So you can get 8-string range on the 7th, obviously :p

Definitely go with Stainless Steel frets - they'll survive a bit longer, especially the first 3, where everyone plays

I've never seen or played a left handed seven string that I liked.

This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.
