    Misha Mansoor's New Custom Shop Jackson 7

    Basswood body
    Bolt-on 26.5" maple neck (I wanted to try out a longer scale to see how I get along with it!)
    Ebony fretboard with 20" radius
    OFR7 Bridge with Tremol-no
    BKP Pickups
    EVH Style Truss Rod Adjustment
    Hipshot locking tuners
    5 way mega switch
    Vol/tone knob with tone bypass option on tone knob
    Dunlop Dual Design Strap Locks
    Finished in BMW Blue (Laguna Seca Blue)

        If you spec a smurf hat head stock this Blue should be the only color it comes in.

            I was thinkin' the same thing.
            96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

                While it's a cool guitar, it is the most "Un-Jackson" Jackson that I've seen. It looks like a love child from a Bernie Rico Jr/Ibanez Drunken Bender. Besides the logo, there is nothing about that guitar that screams Jackson to me, then again, I prefer classic looking Jacksons. Not to mention, the djent-kiddies will probably buy some guitars because of it.

                    I thought it was just me but that always freaks me out seeing people take pics like that. I saw one guy yesterday had his brand new axe laying face-down in the dirt and grass and there was definitely nothing underneath it, but asphalt??? I wouldn't do that to a JS series let alone a custom shop!

                            I guess it's a personal preference, although one would think a string-thru/TOM configuration (or any hard tail bridge) would hold tune better than a blocked OFR. :think:

                              With a blocked Floyd, you still have fine tuners. Once you get used to them, it's hard to live without them. I think a Floyd generally holds tune better than a TOM. I've had a number of TOM guitars. All but one was finicky.
