Postage rate to $500 to $1000? definitely smells fishy

That was a strange auction. Had the opening bid at $1000 and shipping $1000, then said in the details that he wouldn't sell it for less than $2000. Why he didn't just start the bidding at $2000 with normal shipping is beyond me.

Glow in the dark crackle would be cool, but like murkat mentioned, it looked pretty grubby. Amazing to me that someone wouldn't spend a couple hours to clean up a guitar that they are asking $2K for. Seemed like a cool guitar overall.

They used to gouge on shipping to bypass some ebay fees but that doesn't work anymore since now shipping is counted in the fees. Guess this guy didn't get the memo.

i think whoever bought it had that in mind and will ask a refund for shipping once he gets it

I can think of a more sinister reason. You buy it for $1000 and pay $1000 for shipping. You find out that it's a piece of shit and send it back. He only has to refund $1000 (the price of the item).

Of course this would never work the way Paypal is, but you never know what these people are thinking.

if you can prove to ebay the item description does not match item recieved ,you will get a full refund including shipping costs to you ,then ebay will send you a link to a printable combo ups/usps return
shipping label at no cost to you

just did it a couple of weeks ago

so... the first auction did seem a litle weird. I tried to contact the seller and eventually i got a reply that it was not his guitar and the original seller decided to keep it. I contact the original seller as well and he didnt want to give it away for the money he had on the auction. 4 months after it appears on ebay under a differant seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...vip=true&rt=nc

he was much better in communication but yet again i thought the price was too much. Nevertheless i was really obsessed with the crackle glow in the dark finish so we agreed on a trade , my PRS custom plus some money. If everything goes as planned i will have it in about a month.

Where is there an ebay ad for a USA PRS? Straycat was asking if he traded a USA PRS or import PRS for the Jackson.
