The neck pocket was not painted inside. I taped the inside for the painting process. It then gets covered with paint. I will post a pic of the untaped, clean neck pocket. There is some cool factory writing in it. Pickups are always a challenging ordeal. Good luck.
was the neck pocket originally painted inside? i like to leave this all raw wood as it is "supposed" to help for greater resonance / sustain though the body. i am going to keep my eyes open for a project like this too. i may try a couple twinblade humbuckers at the bridge first before i rout it out though. thats four pickups lol
