  • Is this a JT-590?

I've checked http://audiozone.dk/index-filer/TremoloInfoProject.htm and that's what I think it is.

Yep, looks like one to me. Great bridges.

        A

Are there big brass blocks available for those? And new saddles?

There sure are. They take the same block as a Floyd Rose.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I really like the trem a lot. My only experience with trems was with a JT-6 that I had on another guitar. I recently changed that to a OFR and there's a real big difference. I can abuse the hell out of it which I couldn't do with the JT-6. I use the JT-590 just the same as I do the OFR and it responds just as nicely. I'm thinking I'll just leave it as it.

One thing I do with those Schallers is replace the saddle hold down screws. Those dome head screws are usually always short and only go through the base plate halfway, causing them to strip out the base plate. You can get OFR screws here http://www.gpdusa.com/Original_Floyd...e_Parts-1.html for 45 cents each, They're twice as long and worth every freaking penny.
