  • Kelly ?

Just thought i´d post some pics on my new project. Made a new trem block, (very heavy) incredible change in sustain, overall sound is much improved. Yesterday i finished fret recrowning and polishing. Next should be new mics (suggestions?) there´s pics in http://kuvablogi.com/nayta/2158767/

For new pickups, I'd suggest figuring out what you've got and what you don't like about it. What type of music do you play? What type of amps?

You'll probably get a lot of suggestions, but in the end it all boils down to how it sounds. Every guitar / person / rig is different, so a pickup that works great for someone might be wrong for someone else.

Trail and error is the best method I've found.

I have a pair of Duncan Distortions in my KE3 and they rock. Had the JB in the bridge for a while, but I like the Distortion in this guitar a little bit better. It's a wee bit tighter, and for heavier metal styles, ideal.

Have you done away with the volume pot completely? I was going to suggest you replace it with a push/pull and coil split both pickups, gives a really nice useable clean tone in the middle position.

No it is Volume and no tone. Push pull might be a good idea, i´ll try that when i get the new pickups.

Good stuff, always good news when you try new pickups and find you like them.
