  • How to intonate at JT-6 trem?

    Hi everyone,

I have just bought a Charvel M4 and I'm struggling to work out how to intonate the JT-6 trem... if I loosen the bolt holding the saddle in place the string tension pulls it toward the nut, making it difficult to adjust accurately.

I noticed 'The Key' for OFR trems- is there one for the JT-6?

    Many thanks,
    Meenrod

Loosen the string - adjust saddle - tighten string to pitch - repeat until desired results achieved.
    750xl, 88LE, AT1, Roswell Pro, SG-X, 4 others...
Stilletto Duece 1/2 Stack, MkIII Mini-Stack, J-Station, 12 spaces of misc rack stuff, Sonar 4, Event 20/20, misc outboard stuff...

Why do I still want MORE?

Really? Wow, that seems a pretty drawn out process. Strange that the design of the JT-6 falls down here when in many other respects it is well thought out.

      Thanks for the tip.

If you have a string-winder, it only takes a few seconds to loosen-tighten-tune. And the 'Key' doesn't help if you need to move a set screw up/back. Besides, with Floyd types you only have to do it a couple times a year - what's an extra 15 minutes?

Just loosen the string a little move the saddle in the direction you need to go. lock down the saddle. It takes a few tries until you get it right.Any floyd is that way there is no difference in working on a JT-6.Just takes time like an OFR.
