    Hello all!

David here, I post at the Megadeth forums and browse here from time to time. Thought you fellow Jackson lovers might like to see. (I'm also digging the pics of that custom orange burst string through V that was posted...)

Thanks to Chris Cannella over at Jackson lml lml.

        Very cool! Very unique! Congrats.

I was just about to ask if they did a swamp ash top over the body, to cover the maple NT, but that last pic answers my question.

That is so incredibly cool. I've never seen a Jackson like that.

          Oh, and welcome!

Looks very cool indeed - definitely a unique look, which is great

I'm trying to make sense of the 'sandwich' pic though. There's obviously a top and I assume bottom veneer, but why are there 3 other pieces? I can understand 2 (neck centre, plus 1 to make up to full body thickness), but 3 is confusing me right now....

Left and Right are solid Ash wings. In the center, the middle wood with little grain is the Maple coming through from the neck. On top and bottom of it are pieces of ash cut the same width of the neck which are glued to the maple to continue the ash grain on the face and backside of the guitar. The pieces of ash cut the same width as the neck run all the way from the fretboard to the butt or center of the V.

Thanks to everyones comments! I'm very proud to have this one.

                              That's beautiful. Congrats.

How did you specify that colour? It looks lighter than the usual trans. black and darker than the light trans. black. However you did it, it came out well.
