  • GT8 Patch for Stevie Ray Blues

I have been trying to come up with a great SRV sounding patch for my GT8 without any luck. Has anyone come up with one they's like to share? I am trying to get that bluesy strat/tele sound and could use the help.

Let me know if you find one too.
This thing is great for clean tones, but that dirty SRV tone is very elusive.

one of the toughest tones to get with a modeler. Another extremely difficult tone is the straight up Marshall tone similar to that of early Kiss or AC/DC

Multiple Tube amps cranked on 10 heavy strings and the ability to play GREAT. NO Modeler in the world is going to give you that.

Two of the three things you mention have nothing to do with the amp, so they are pointless in this discussion.

As for Stevie's tone, It's Texas Blues, not Metal... none of his amps were "Cranked on 10". His tone is a "dirty clean" if that makes sense.

I've been able to reproduce his "tone" on a GNX modeler with the right guitar (Strat with a set of Texas Specials), just not on the GT-8.

Now if I could only play like he could. One can dream.

Sound dosn't come from just your amp it comes from a combination of thing. Thinking you can just dial up a sound, most of SRV sound was how he played and how he used his guitar volume control and dynamic.

You can dial up Stevie's basic sound with the right gear.
As the original poster requested, he was looking for
                  a great SRV sounding patch
It's not difficult to reproduce his basic "tone" or "sound".
His playing style is another question.
Yes, his playing contributes to the overall experience, but that is not what was being requested.

Don't know about this BOSS thing, but on my Pod XT, it can get do that cranked Deluxe Reverb sound very nicely.
