  • New guitar / Customizing

I want to seel my RR1 and get something with singlecoils. So I was thinking of getting a Soloist again, but didn't manage to settle for a colour. Then I got an idea::idea:

I want to order a Black SL1 and change the hardware. Getting a gold Floyd Rose and nut and gold Sperzel locking tuners with pearl tuning pegs.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

      Yeah.

Don't sell the RR1 and get a couple of push pull pots.

Yeah, like DonP said unless you want to get that quacky, out of phase sound like a Strat you'll need an SL1. If you get an SL1, get a push/pull pot anyway, so that you can split the bridge pup.

my only advice is not to bother with the sperzels; since they'll be behind a locking nut, there's no need for them. kinda like a walrus with fake boobs.

Thanks for the tip Sully. I was thinking of putting them on a project axe. It has a Kahler Killer locking bridge, but currently I just have a graphite nut and regular tuners. I was thinking of locking tuners, but I guess I'll save my money.
