  • SL2H sharkfin inlay question

How are they put on? Does anyone know the process. I was looking at my GFF SL2H and am just curious.

I believe the fingerboard is routed out in the shape of the inlay, and the inlay is dropped in with glue.

It almost looks like a sticker. It must be glue or something that I am seeing.

I've seen some that have some dripping along the crease where the inlay and the fretboard meet.

Rest assured that they are not stickers..

No, what Brooke said, they are routed and then glued in. The edges are filled in with a black resin of some sort to fill the gaps.

You guys see there's some guy on ebay selling die-cut vinyl Sharkfins that you can stick onto your fretboard? He has a bunch of different designs. These would be cool to use on a JS series that was a player or practice axe.
