  • Behringer Hell Babe wah wah pedal?

Anyone tried one? I have an X-V Amp which I only use for the wah as everything else sounds like shit, so I've been thinking of getting a decent stand alone wah pedal. I would only be using that and my Boss DS-1 as my only two pedals.
I want one to play things like the Enter Sandman solo. I don't need something REALLY pro quality like a Cry-Baby, but I want something that's pretty good.

People rag on them, but I have one and have not had a single problem, and it does the job for me, but, then again, I really don't use alot of wah. Try it if you can, and see if you dig it. Hell, they are cheap enough to just get one, and if you don't like it, flip it or pitch it.

Eh why buy Behringer, the most basic Crybaby, the GCB95 can't be thaaat far away pricewise? At least it'll take a beating without crapping itself.

It's about double the price. £30 odd for the Hell Babe, £60 odd for the Crybaby.

Exactly. With my share of gig money one night, I managed to pick up one of these and take my wife out for a bite to eat, afterward.

You can look at it as saving yourself 30 quid now, or wasting 30 quid in a few weeks when you realise it's a piss-poor pedal.
                Why so serious?

                  I have a Rocktron tri-wah and it does the job OK.Paid $75.00 used(minty).
I don't know much about the Behringer pedals but I swear by my Behringer GMX1200H head and 4x12 cab sounds killer clean and dirty.
Loud as hell and doesn't fuzz out at high vol.

I had a Hell babe for a while. Did the job just fine. It was worth what I paid for it.

Yeah, I have no gripes about mine. Granted, it's not "Oh my God, this thee best wah in the world", but I've heard worse for more money.

I actually have a Behringer X V-amp, and having used it today (only for the wah, everything else sucks cock on it), I actually really like it.
I think I'll just stick with that! Makes me sound like I'm playing great and dead fast!

I have one of the Hellbabes too. I think it rocks. I have had Morleys and Crybaby's and even the Rackmount Dunlop Wah unit in past but I love this one just as much.... and for the price it is built very well. I say get one.

I've tried every wah on the planet. Even went as high as all the Teese's.

                            I always buy used.

The clear winner for me: Budda wah $100-110
