  • jackson original HARDCASE?

    Hello, I am new.
I just got my dream axe last week.
jackson RR1, which made at 98' from the serial.

but the case with this guitar is a bluky plastic case, without JACKSON logo..

    is it original?
the space inside seems fit for my RR1. but not 100%, seems the short sharp side have some little space.

    thank you.

and my RR1, seems got some sparkle chips inside the finish
    is it call MBS finish?
but it looks like BLACK rather than blue...

    thanks again

Without seeing pix, I can't tell you for certain. I do know there's 3 multi-fit cases for Jackson, 1 of which will fit only an RR or KV. Even the original Jackson cases will have bits in the mould which need stamping out with a mallet to make the guitar fit properly. I found this problem with a JCC917 Warrior case. It'll take a WR1, but not a bolt-on Warrior like my WRMG because the neck heel area of the interior mould sticks out. Given how easily these cases are damaged in shipping, I wasn't prepared to take a mallet to the interior.

Not all Jackson cases had the embossed logo.

The USA Select cases are made from a template that is slightly oversized because they are produced in high volume, but Custom Shop cases are generally snug.

At least that's how my 2 Customs' cases were.

Interesting...it definitely has extra space, but it doesn't seem quite big enough for a King V.

Maybe the ESP rhoads has a bigger lower wing?

The sparle chips you refer to are part of the metallic black finish. Sometimes hard to see unless you put the guitar in direct sunlight.

That looks just like my cases, except without the logo. Big? check. Bulky? check. Must be the case LOL.

Looks just like both of my Jackson KV cases.

The extra room is for the King V.

My case is the same (except I've got the J/C logo on the top). It's perfectly snug and does not move.

Around 1998 the cases didn't have the logo embossed in them but they did have a white painted on round Jackson/Charvel logo. Perhaps it wore off?

Most likely it wore off. Here's mine.

I have several pre-Fender and post-Fender Jacksons and I see no difference. They're all good
