• Classical solo

I recorded this clip using my Sl2h through the Emg85, Cube 15, cheap computer mic, and then on the recording program. I sent it to Rodrigo so he could fix it up because i have no idea how to record.
You'll notice that a couple of Troy Stetina speed lead exercises are in there, then i improvised on it and i think i came out with something cool. Well here it goes, Rodrigo will be posting it pretty soon. I hope you enjoy my first, oh, and suggestions are totally welcome.

Re: Classical solo

I'm thinking of doing the whole thing over once i get a DR5, so i can add rythm in the backround, and i would do it with my better amp. Rodrigo, i played around with my fx pedals, and i found a nice tone going from metal zone to tube screamer to reverb/delay, to the Back of my marshall avt50 combo(i dont like the amps channels that much other than for cleans). Oh and i plan on getting a decent mic.

pretty cool, but you seem to be having a little trouble with the transitions from part to part...a rhythm laid underneath will help that...lots of cool ideas though...d.m.

I think the lead tone of the guitar is just fine the way it sounds on the clip...

This is about the DR-5 for your reference:

Overall real cool.. if you had a better mic it would sound a ton cooler.

Ditto what DM said.

Re: Classical solo

Yeh, i kinda wanted a little pause for a second to let the note ring. I dont know if you guys feel the same way, but when i get my amp to sound good, i get this mojo that makes me play smoother, faster, better,. so as i was playing today and yesturday on my better amp, it sounded alot better, maybe i was nervous recording for the first time .

That Malmsteen riff is a pedal tone. Bach invented them. They are my favorite licks on a guitar.
