• across the styx -- new tune

here's a new one i am working on. need your opinion on the arrangement and the mix. tracks got out of hand, hard to keep track of and hard to mix well. not sure about arrangement, some parts maybe need to be expanded or repeated, some things maybe should go? pass along your thoughts, i could use the help. i also have mixed it one too many times, brain gone to mush.(some of the playing is spotty here and there, but oh well ) it's about 4 1/2 minutes long.

keyboard bass?...maybe a harmonizer set an octave low?...all tricks i used before i owned a bass...be creative...tune the low string on the guitar way down...an approximation of bass is better than nothing...d.m.

hey thanks man you are totally right, anything would be better than nothing. i'll put something in there. then i suppose it's back to the drawing board and try to come up with ideas for a new tune.

              Mark

You continue to produce good material.

This one is excellent. You have got this home recording thing down.

Nice break in lead, very tasteful

thanks for the kind words dude. i'm not sure about having home recording down, there are many on the jcf who are far superior to me in all respects but thanks. speaking of home recording what was it i read the other day in some thread? you weren't going to post anything for 10 years or something??!! Alright Kevin, up and at 'em!! If i can do it you can do it!! I know it will be good so let's hear what you're up to!
