• One more newbie!

Hi people, I also love this guitars a lot. Maybe these are stupid questions, but here they go: What does dinky means? In a Jackson dinky body, do a Jackson regular neck fit?

"Dinky" refers to the shape of all of the Jackson Strat shape style bodies.

Such as the DK2, DXMG, DKMG, SL3, the USA DK1 and Soloists ect..

It's called the dinky shape because it's actually a little smaller than a regular strat-style shape... about 3/4 the size.

Dinky is also used as a model name to refer to some Jackson bolt on guitars.. the DK2 and DK1 are "Dinky" guitars for example.

    Hope this helps.

          <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes it do fit.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Well to answer your question accurately, it depends. Since Jacksons come with different scale lengths and different number of frets, not all necks and bodies are interchangeable.

Eg: A Fusion has a "dinky" shaped body, but has a 24-3/4" scale 24 fret neck. A Dinky also has a "dinky" shaped body (duh!), but has a 25-1/2" scale 24 fret neck. They are NOT interchangeable.
