  • floyd rose troubles

    ok im new to the charvel and new to the site im having a problem with the floyd rose on my charvel its wants to pull up what is the remedy on getting it not to do this and to float any suggestions would be great thanks

    Is the trem pulling up while you're tuning it? If so, tighten down the trem claw screws with 1/4 turns until the bridge levels out and you can tune it without it pulling up.

                  Add a fourth or fifth spring and you'll be fine... you'll just have to back the claw screws out a little then.

                    Yep, 3 springs is fine with 9s or 10s in standard tuning, but you need more to counter the tension of the 11s.

                      think im gonna go and get some 9s or 10s what are you guys suggeston on strings i normally use boomers open to suggestions though

                        I usually use Boomers 10-46, or Carvin strings. Carvin are Boomers in their own packaging... just less expensive.

                            +1 for Carvins. I have them (9's) on all my floyds, and they stand up to the abuse!
