  • Removing finish from maple neck

    Hi,
    I have a Fender usa standar neck maple/maple that has a horrible orange tint to it that I would like to remove.Any suggestions on how to do so without taking the frets off or meesing up the black Dots.Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

    At least it worked for me when I needed the thick black poly off my Carvins neck.

        I have never done it to the fret board, but 320 and 400 sandpaper with full head to heal strokes did it for me. Fretboard I don't know

          Cabinet scrapers and utility knife blades make quick work of that along with exacto knives for next to the frets, but you have to take your time and not "dig" into the wood by trying to take too much at one time.
