  • Raw maple fretboards.

    I think that whatever the process is to get a neck to look as the ones that are 20 years old is a good idea. These new guitars with the "White" fretboard just don't cut it. They look like something you could get at WalMart. If I were to spend that much money, not in my lifetime:ROTF: , for a guitar, the last thing I would want to look like is a neck off the rack.
    I am a true ass set to this board.

    You can get a new neck to eventually look like that... it's calling playing the crap out of it!

            Do as some of the locals still do over here: take a huge shit, wipe your ass with your left hand (considered the unclean hand - go figure), then commence to playing.
