• Where to look for my first Jackson ???

Hey guys...My first post...I've been playing for over 20 years - mostly Les Pauls and Strats...I recently got turned on to Jackson's - and I'M JUICED!!! Optimally - I'm looking for a used, all-original SL2H that plays great (of course) and has a way-cool finish (with black hardware)...Being brand-new to the Jackson community, I would also appreciate your comments on years/features/models to look for and which ones to avoid, new Jackson's vs. used, etc...Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I'd start off by hitting up the forum's dealers (Matt's Music and Vwall (Scott)).
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

Matt is great to deal with, used EBay usually has lots of SL2H soloists listed.
I've got a trans black 2001 sl2H, just a beautiful guitar.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

You should go to Dealer's page on JCF and also dealers forum section where Dealers post Ads.
You can see some cool new stuff there too.

I've dealt with both Matt and Scott and I can't say enough good things about either one of them. Click on the dealer link at the top of the page.

Avoid Guitar Center, Musician's Friend, and Guitar Asylum - and Ed Roman. My GOD man, avoid Ed Roman like the plague

I would go with ebay for used.

Make sure you get one with all original Floyd Rose parts or put Floyd Rose parts on it if possible.

It will improve the sustain and tone if you have original Floyd Rose parts.

Floyd Rose springs also - they are about 25% stiffer than other springs.
