  • Truss rod tool for US Jackson/Charvels Where?

    Hi Y'all

I have been going crazy trying to find a tool for
adjusting the truss bar on my US Jackson/Charvels.
Could anyone be kind enough to lead me to the right
direction? As well, would the same tool work with SD
Charvels and early 90's US Jacksons? Thanks!!

the ones from stewmac fit in my soloists but not my bolton neck. the bolton has less clearance behind the bolt so the socket doesnt fit. ive been using a 1/4" driver a cheapo one that came with screw driver tips, its really a thin POS but it works.

You can take a 1/4" end wrench an grind the back side flat to fit too.

Yeah, you can fabricate a tool from off the shelf socket tools at any hardware store. You may have to grind the barrel down, but so what. Far cheaper and easier to replace.

What do you use to grind it down? I've also been having a hell of a time finding a wrench to fit these damn '86 bolt on necks!!!

A grinder, Dremel tool, maybe a stone bit in a drill. There are many ways to skin a cat.
